Coming in the next few weeks new Tasmanian acoustic back & side sets, in Blackhearted Sassafras, Tasmanian Myrtle, and Tasmanian Blackwood.

18th March 2022 Tasmanian Blackhearted Sassafras. Known for it's well rounded, open sound and clear treble response, tonally in the range of the Mahogany and Walnuts of all the Tasmanian Timbers. Sassafras has the most dynamic colouring with distinctive golden tones, dark browns, black and even green streaking running through the wood.  Tasmanian Acoustic Tonewoods Blackhearted Sassafras back & side sets available 

We are now back after our Christmas break and travelling around the state sourcing new stock.  Stay tuned in the coming weeks for Tasmanian Blackwood/ Tasmanian Blackhearted Sassafras/ Tasmanian Dorral also known as Native Olive/ Tasmanian Myrtle/ soundboards in huon-pine and celery top. 

Every now and then you come across something special . . . . a friend arrived yesterday with a beautiful, perfectly quarter sawn billet of salvaged Australian Red Cedar. Beautiful colour, 9 inch/ 225 mm wide and 2 inches/ 50 mm thickness.  This will make some magical soundboards that will be added to the products page over the coming days.
